There is a need to correct the data on a position.
Business Process Procedure Overview |
This process is only used to correct minor changes in an infotype, such as spelling errors or incorrect choices made when the infotype was created. There is no history recorded using the change process. If the history of the previous record is required when making the change, see the BPP instructions for how to Copy Position Infotypes which keeps the historical record of all changes made.

Information: Choose the infotype that requires the change. Remember only use the change function for minor spelling changes or when correcting a data entry mistake. Do not use the change function if you want to keep the record of what the previous data was. To keep historical information on a change, use the Copy function.
Critical: The change process does not record the history of the change. If a change needs to be made to fix an error such as an incorrect spelling, then execute the Change function. This will overwrite the existing record. If the history of the specific change is required, use the Copy or Create function with a new validity date range to denote the effective date of the change. This will delimit the previous record when the change is saved.
