Delimit a Job

Trigger:

There is a need to end the use of a job, or delimit a job.

 

Business Process Procedure Overview

 

The delimit job process puts an end date on a job, so it is no longer available to be used, but is not deleted to keep an historical record in the system.

Access Transaction:

 

Via Menu Path

SAP menu >> Human Resources >> Organizational Management >> Expert Mode >> PO03 - Job

Procedure:

 

SAP Easy Access

1. Update the following required and optional fields:

White alphanumeric box in upper left corner used to input transaction codes

Enter value in Command.

Example: PO03

2. Click Enter button.

Maintain Job

3. Update the following required and optional fields:

Job

Eight digit code identifying the job. A job is a class and are general classifications of tasks routinely performed together

Enter value in Job.

Example: 30000252

4. Click Enter button.

Information:  Ensure the correct job number was entered after clicking Enter.

Maintain Job

5. Click Job >> Delimit

Maintain Plan Data: Delimit Object

6. Update the following required and optional fields:

Delimit date

Date to delimit the object on (end date of the object)

Enter value in Delimit date.

Example: 11/01/2010

7. Click Historical rec. checkbox.

Information:  Checking the Historical Record check box will enable SAP to keep all historical records associated with this job.

8. Click Delimit object (F8) button.

9. Click Yes button.

Maintain Job

10. Click Exit (Shift+F3) button.

11. The system task is complete.
