Create Position Infotype

Trigger:

There is a need to enter new information on a position.

 

Business Process Procedure Overview

 

Any infotype data record may be entered using this process.  In this example a relationship to a job object is created.

Access Transaction:

 

Via Menu Path

SAP menu >> Human Resources >> Organizational Management >> Expert Mode >> PO13 - Position

Via Transaction Code

Procedure:

 

SAP Easy Access

1. Update the following required and optional fields:

White alphanumeric box in upper left corner used to input transaction codes

Enter value in Command.

Example: PO13

2. Click Enter button.

Maintain Position

3. Update the following required and optional fields:

Eight digit unique number identifying the characteristics and attributions of a position

Enter value in Position.

Example: 54333378

4. Click Enter button.

Information:  Ensure the correct position number was entered after clicking Enter.

5. Click Relationships button.

Information:  Various infotype records may be created from this screen.  In this example we are adding a relationship infotype record.

6. Update the following required and optional fields:

Effective date of the personnel action

Enter value in From.

Example: 06/26/2007

to

Ending date of the specified date range

Enter value in to.

Example: 12/31/9999

Information:  The Change function will display the validity dates of the most recent record.  The Copy function will copy the existing record.  The Create function is the only one which will be based on the dates entered in the Time period box on the front screen.

7. Click Create infotype (F5) button.

8. Update the following required and optional fields:

Information:  Use the matchcode search buttons to locate the appropriate relationship type to be created.

9. Click Enter button.

Information:  Click enter to register the type of relationship and reduce the options in the Type of related object field.

10. Click the Type of related object dropdown.

11. Select C in the list box.

12. Update the following required and optional fields:

Contains an 8-digit number that represents an object. This field identifies the second object involved in a relationship.

Enter value in ID of related object.

Example: 30004720

13. Click Enter button.

Information:  After clicking Enter ensure the data chosen is correct before saving.

14. Click Save (Ctrl+S) button.

15. Click Back (F3) button.

16. The system task is complete.
