Display Position Reference PMIS Position Number IT9021

Trigger:

 The old PMIS position number associated with an SAP position is needed.

 

Business Process Procedure Overview

 

 When data was migrated from PMIS to SAP all positions received a new position number.  The related PMIS position numbers were stored on the Reference Position Number field.

 

  

Tips and Tricks

·  The reference position number record of a Position is held on Infotype 9021.

· Display - this information is for display only, no changes can be made to the reference position number.

 

 

Access Transaction:

 

Via Menu Path

SAP menu ==> Human Resources ==> Organizational Management ==> Expert Mode ==> PO13 - Position

Procedure:

 

SAP Easy Access

1. Update the following required and optional fields:

Enter value in Command.

Example: PO13

2. Click Enter button.

Maintain Position

3. Update the following required and optional fields:

Eight digit unique number identifying the position

Enter value in Position.

Example: 54215078

4. Click Enter button.

Information:  If you need to look up the position number, click your cursor in the field and click on the matchcode search button to the right of the field for search options.

5. Click Reference Position Number button.

6. Click All radio button.

7. Click Display infotype (F7) button.

Information:  Verify that the position you wish to display the reference position number on is displayed.  Highlight the Object infotype by clicking on the gray square to the left of the line item, and click Display.  If a record exists there will be a green check mark to the right of the infotype line.  For positions created in SAP after the cut over (April 2008), there will be no reference position number, as the position did not exist in PMIS.

To view all records, choose the Time Period of All - if you don't, you will only see the records that are valid from today's date forward by default.

8. Click Back (F3) button.

Information:  The PMIS (reference) position number and SAP position numbers are displayed.

9. Click Back (F3) button.

10. The system task is complete.
