Display the Total Compensation Statement

ESS

Purpose:

Perform this procedure display, print or save your Total Compensation Statement. The Total Compensation Statement is located in the My Pay area within ESS. Employees can use this service to display their current or past compensation statements. The statement displays in Adobe PDF and can be printed or saved.

The Total Compensation Statement contains a list of all the compensation elements and benefits paid by the State to an employee within a specific timeframe, typically one year. It is sometimes referred to as the Total Rewards Statement

 Note: This instruction assumes that you have already logged on to the BEACON Employee Portal. If you need additional help logging on, refer to the Logging on to the BEACON Employee Portal job aid.

1. After logging on, the user will be defaulted to the BEACON Home Page.

2. Click the My Data (ESS)  tab.

ESS: Overview Page

Information:  The Overview page shows all the available Worksets in ESS.  A Workset is a grouping of web applications by functional area (e.g. Benefits, Time Management, etc.).

3. Access the My Pay area of ESS by completing one of the activities below:

Select the Workset tab.  The Workset tabs are located below the Business Package tab (i.e. ESS, MSS, etc.).

 

Click the icon for the Workset, 'My Pay.'

 

Click the main hyperlink for the Workset, 'My Pay.'

Information:  The Area page includes all the associated web applications for that Workset, the links to access the applications, and a short description of each application (if applicable).

4. To launch the Total Compensation Statement, click the hyperlink

Information:  A Total Compensation Statement for the previous calendar year is defaulted and displayed.

5. To display a Total Compensation Statement for another period, go to the From/To Dates section.

6. Enter another date range in the From/To Dates section and click .

Information:  When a new date range is entered, the Total Compensation Statement will be refreshed in the lower window.

7. The Total Compensation Statement in ESS are launched in Adobe format as a PDF document.  Using Adobe functionality, perform one of the following:

You want to print the form to your local printer.

You want to save the form to your PC.

You want to navigate to the previous or next page.

You want to decrease or increase the magnification of the entire page.

You want to fill the window with each page and scroll through pages continuously.

You want to display one page at a time.

You use a search/find function, such as type a word to find it in the displayed PDF document.

Caution:  Employees should always be cautious when printing or saving their Total Compensation Statement or other HR pay related data.
